AI is no longer a trend, but a core engineering capability

As AI becomes deeply integrated into software development workflows, the question is no longer whether companies use AI. The real challenge is how effectively engineering teams are leveraging AI to create measurable outcomes.

Many organizations have adopted AI tools, yet productivity gains remain limited. Tools exist; models are available, but engineering efficiency has not significantly improved.

The gap comes from a simple reality: AI only creates real value when placed in the right execution environment, where engineers can iterate quickly, experiment continuously, and improve outcomes over time.

That is why Luvina Software organized Hackathon 2026. More than a competition, it serves as a hands-on environment where teams can explore practical ways to apply AI in software development.

Luvina Hackathon 2026: AI Iterative Loop in Action

In May 2026, Luvina Software organized Luvina Hackathon 2026 under the theme AI Iterative Loop to encourage teams to explore more effective ways of applying AI in software development while creating a practical environment for experimentation, collaboration, and innovation.

Event overview:

  • Date: May 2026
  • Location: Luvina Software Headquarters, Hanoi
  • Participants: Employees from Luvina Software’s offices in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City

The hackathon attracted strong participation from teams across the company. Following multiple evaluation rounds, 12 finalist teams advanced to the final stage of the competition

Teams were formed by members from different disciplines, including software engineers, QA specialists, business analysts, and professionals involved in product development and optimization. This cross-functional approach brought diverse perspectives to solve the same challenge.

What made the hackathon different was not simply building with AI but continuously improving outcomes through AI-driven iteration.

This is the core idea behind Hackathon 2026: AI is not just a tool for assistance. It becomes part of the way engineers think, experiment, and build better software over time.

Hackathon format: from idea to prototype in days

The hackathon followed a rapid execution model:

  • – Idea pitching
  • – Cross-functional team formation
  • – AI-assisted prototype development
  • – Final demo and evaluation

Teams actively used AI across the workflow, from coding support to prompt engineering and rapid prototyping.

Compared to traditional development cycles:

  • – Before: idea → specification → long development cycle
  • – Now: idea → prototype within days

This shift significantly reduces the distance between concept and validation.

Hackathon 2026 Outcomes: Turning Ideas into Action

Hackathon 2026 provided teams with an opportunity to apply AI directly to familiar software development challenges. Through collaboration, experimentation, and competition, participants explored new approaches and expanded their perspectives on the role of AI in modern engineering workflows.

The competition showcased a wide range of creative solutions, reflecting Luvina’s growing capability to apply AI in real-world software development scenarios.

🏆 1st Prize (20,000,000 VND): DEVI_NOBUGONLYFEATURE

🥈 1st Runner-up (10,000,000 VND): DEV8_BẤT BẠI

🥉 2nd Runner-up (5,000,000 VND): DEVI_NO AGENTS, NO CODE

🌟 3 Innovation Awards (2,000,000 VND each)

  • – DEV8_VIIBE CODING (Best Knowledge Sharing Award)
  • – DEV6 (Automation Playbook Award)
  • – 3GENS (Best Collaboration Award)

These outcomes reflect a broader shift: AI is increasingly being viewed as a practical capability rather than a standalone support tool. They also reinforce an important reality: AI doesn’t create impact simply because the tools are more powerful. The real advantage comes from how teams integrate AI into their development processes and continuously refine the way they work.

More importantly, value is no longer in ideas alone, but in how fast they can be turned into working prototypes.

AI-driven engineering is built through continuous practice

AI does not replace software engineers. It amplifies them. The real advantage lies in the ability to transform ideas into working systems faster and more efficiently.

At Luvina Software, Hackathon is part of a long-term strategy to build an AI-driven engineering culture where continuous experimentation and iteration define how products are built.
